Remember the size of your breasts will change for a number of reasons such as pregnancy or a change in weight. Therefore its always advisable to check your bra size regularly.
If a bra is the correct size, it should;
- Sit firmly but comfortably around your rib cage with the bra fastened on the loosest hook.
- Your breasts should be encased in the cup without escaping.
- The underwire should lie flat against the rib cage and in between your breasts keeping them separate.
- The straps should not dig into your shoulders.
Wrong size bra;
- The bra or underband is riding up your back. You need to reduce your back size, for example if you are wearing a 36D, you need to buy a 34E (Remember when you reduce the back size, you increase the cup size.
- Your breasts are not well contained within the cup and they escape underneath, over the top and into your underarms. This is an indication that your cup size is too small and the same principle applies; Increase a cup size, reduce back size.
